Eu recebi há coisa de um ano e meio um porquinho (mealheiro) de barro preto. Muito, muito fofinho e que eu comecei logo a encher com trocos. Cedo, o meu namorado juntou-se a mim e decidimos que o dinheiro que conseguíssemos juntar ia directo para a nossa prenda de 4 anos de namoro :) Pois bem, o dia chegou há umas semanas... O único problema é que este é daqueles mealheiros que não abrem, que apenas tem uma abertura nas costas para enfiar as moedas.Eu já estava pronta para pegar no martelo, mas o meu namorado deu numa de sentimental e disse que queria salvar o porco : no fundo, ele tinha razão, o raio do mealheiro é mesmo fofo, só que eu não sabia como havia de tirar o dinheiro.
About one and a half year ago I got a black clay piggy (bank). It was so cute and I started to "feed" it spare change right away. Soon, my boyfriend joined me and then we decided that that we would use the money we could save to get our 4th anniversary present :) Well, that day arrived a few weeks ago... The problem was that it is one of those piggy banks that don't open, it just has a slit in the back, to put the coins in. I was ready to take a hammer and smash it, but my boyfriend became sentimental and wanted to save the pig : he was probably right, the darn pig is really cute, I just couldn't figure out how to take the money out.

I let my boyfriend think about it and the answer came soon.
Primeiro, estender uma toalha em cima de uma superfície dura, para que não fique tudo sujo. Em seguida, virar o porco de pernas para o ar. Esta operação necessita de um/a "enfermeiro/a" para segurar o porco enquanto o médico/a trabalha. Eu escolhi esta função :P
First, lay a towel or something over a hard surface, so that you don't get the dirt all over the place. Then, turn the pig on its back. This surgery requires a nurse, whose job is to hold the pig down while the doctor works. I chose to play that part :P
Ora bem, com o porco bem seguro, pega-se numa chave de fendas, de preferência de ponta aguçada, e raspa-se um círculo que seja suficientemente grande para que as moedas maiores (no nosso caso de 2 euros) consigam passar. Depois é só ir desgastando esse círculo : raspa-se, raspa-se, raspa-se a toda a volta. Tem de se fazer alguma força e ter persistência, mas ao fim de algum tempo começam a surgir os primeiros buracos e depois o círculo de barro "abate" e o porquinho fica com um buraco na barriga.
With the pig tightly secured, take a pointed screwdriver and etch a circle on the belly of the pig, that is big enough to let the bigger coins (in our case, 2 euro coins) pass. Then, you just have to keep etching and etching until little holes start to appear around the circle. You have to have some patience and also apply a bit of strenght. After some time the circle will give in and a hole will appear on the belly of the piggy.

Shake the pig on top of a box, until all the coins are out!
Estejam atentos que, provavelmente, esta operação só deve funcionar em porquinhos de barro! Mas eu penso que outro tipo de mealheiros têm alguma saída montada de origem :P
Be warned that this surgery may only work on clay piggy banks! But I guess other kind of piggy banks have some sort of exit built in to them :P
Agora só falta "coser" a ferida, sendo que ainda estamos magicar a solução para isso.
Now, all that's left is to "stitch" up the wound, and we are still working on the solution for that.
Conseguimos juntar mais de 60 euros :D E tudo isto em trocos que, de outra forma, seriam desperdiçados em ninharias :
-moedas de 1 ou 2 cêntimos que estavam perdidas nas carteiras.
-quaisquer moedas esquecidas nos bolsos das calças, quando iam para lavar
-as moedas que restavam na carteira na última noite do ano (é uma mania minha)
-o dinheiro que ganhávamos em euromilhões (não somos lá muito sortudos nesse departamento)
-o dinheiro que recebíamos quando enviávamos aqueles vales em que devolvem o dinheiro do produto que se compra
We managed to save more than 60 euros :D And we did it only by setting aside the spare change that, otherwise, would be spent on nicknacks :
-1 and 2 cent coins that rolled around in our wallets
-any coins that were forgotten in our pockets, when we put them in the washer
-the coins that were left in our wallets in the last night of the year (it's just a habit of mine)
-the money we would win on the lottery and stuff (we are not the luckiest on that department)
-the money that we recieved for sending in the coupons that give us back the value spent on the purchase of a certain product.
A nossa prenda vai ser uma TV nova ( a que temos é mínima e já tem 15 anos!), para que a gente possa ver os nossos filmes e séries em condições e ainda divertirmo-nos com os jogos da Wii :D
Our anniversary present is going to be a new TV (the one we have is very small and is already 15 years old!), so we can watch our films and tv shows in a decent size and also have fun playing Wii video-games :D

Adorei este post =P É preciso é imaginação =)(uma soluçao para finalizar a cirurgia será colocar a barriguinha com fita cola, até arranjarem outra solução)
